![]() It’s not enough space for me, but maybe it is for someone out there. It has ample space, and a nice little alchemy room. The Dragonborn eats raw legs of goat and Falmer ears, maybe the occasional Sweet Roll.īeyond the horrible interior, this place does have a nice layout, though a bit confusing at first. What’s that on the table? Cute little baked treats? The Dragonborn does not eat cute little baked treats. Whitestone Spire is just too cutesy for my taste. Ignoring the pink stone, you have the gaudy flooring, and the window that is RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of A PAINTING! Why? Not to mention that painting isn’t even the right period for Skyrim. Seriously, I’m a female, but what Dovahkiin wants their living space looking like this: As someone who is quite a talented interior decorator, the interior of this castle looks like your steward vomited Pepto Bismol everywhere. They chose a lovely location, but the dragon statues are overkill, and the inside looks like it was decorated by a kid. The mod creator is no longer working on this castle, and is offering for others to take over. This is a lovely castle, but I have simply outgrown it. It’s a beautiful display of plants and vegetation with statues and a water feature. In the entrance area, there are shrines and statues to the Gods, and there is an Alchemist’s area called the Overfalls. I’m curious to see what other updates were done, since I originally downloaded that mod months ago.ĭeus Mons features a large combination Smithy and Armory, a comfortable library (that does not fit one of every book in the game, especially with the expansions, hence why I moved), a sitting room, more mannequins and weapon displays in the hall, a bath house, a huge master bedroom with attached Armory and Vault, and a kitchen and dining area. I see they have updated it since, and they added Sleeping Tree Sanctuary. From my update, the ghost’s speech either doesn’t work, or he doesn’t actually talk. ![]() It is modeled a bit after the College of Winterhold, and features a ghost that’s walked the halls for years. To obtain Deus Mons, you have to kill a dragon that guards it. It captured my heart from the get-go, and I still love it, even though I’ve since moved all my junk. Castle Mendoza is by Riften, whereas Deus Mons is up in the mountains by High Hrothgar.ĭeus Mons was the first and only castle I owned for a long time. The layout is similar to Castle Mendoza, but it has a smaller library and is in a less preferred location. The last castle I owned, and still own, though I just moved out, was Deus Mons. The mannequins are pretty well behaved, and I’m trusting this mod to hold my entire hoard of junk. ![]() This castle features a decent sized Armory, a large Smithy, a kitchen, a huge master bedroom and throne room, a lovely Alchemist’s Garden, a Wizard Workroom, and more. As an added bonus, all the guards and workers there are set to housecarl, so they show you the respect you deserve, instead of acting like assholes. ![]() I may edit it a bit more, to label the containers or something, but I really like it. The only things I have added to the mod file are the Dragon Priest mask busts, and I added them around the throne. This castle has a great, easy layout, is very large, and has enough storage for everything I need. Well, I finally found a castle that fits all my junk just the way I want it to: Ideally, I need an armory, a library, a smithy, and other dedicated rooms to store my hoard. I collect one of every book, every journal and note I find, all food and ingredients, ingots, gems (soul and otherwise), jewelry, masks, anything interesting (like Torture Tools), quest items, gifts, and cool weapons and armor. My ideal castle has plenty of space, is visually appealing, and has enough storage for all my junk. I have tried out several different castle mods and player home mods in Skyrim.
